help with slouchy hat

I found a beautiful pattern for a slouchy Beanie /beret type hat. The only problem is, I'd like it to be a bit more "slouchy" or longer. I know I just need to add a few rows, but I'm not sure if I add more increase rows or regular. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

No expert, but have made a couple of slouchies.

If you have a look at some of the free Rasta hat patterns you might work out your answer, as they need to be that much longer to accommodate those dreadlocks. To me, they look like a longer slouchy.

 

I Googled crochet rasta hat pattern free In images, lots of good pictures, the pics often lead to a pattern.
