Fulling with blended yarn

I have this gorgeous yarn I recycled from a sweater, and it's a 70% lambswool, 30% angora blend. From what I understand, this is going to full... it's not superwash, and it's not bleached...

 

My question is[are] - how will the angora full up? Will it make it super fuzzy? Will it retain any of it's softness? Would it be sturdy enough for a handbag?

umm i know you dont wanna hear it .. but the only way to know how it will go is swatch it.. and felt your swatch LOL..

I'm actually glad I did, because I would've gone with the larger hook had I not swatched, and it turns out that left big holes in the work.

 

JIC in case anyone was wondering, from the little [i mean very little] bit of this yarn that I swatched, it does seem to retain it's softness and fuzziness. I'm really hoping it likes being a bag, cause I couldn't wait to finish my other project and started stitching it up last night.

 

I think I'm going to use the swatch to make a kitty toy.

and i am glad you did swatch.. you know i hate doing it too but its important sometimes.. LOL.. so you know even if you hate it .. its a very useful thing !
