recognize this stitch?

does anyone recognize the stitch in this afghan? I would love to try it, but can't seem to place what it is..

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks a lot like fairly tight broomstick lace. That would fit the "light but warm" description.

thanks Becky, but I sure hope it isn't the broomstick! lol  I do not like doing that stitch!   some how, it looks like a tighter stitch than the lace, though... not sure.

Doesn't look like broomstick to me.  Looks like a dc in the sc and a sc in the dc stitch.  Have you tried contacting the seller?

I have to agree with deb ;  I use this stitch quite often it makes a close stitch

and it makes an afghan quite warm  I have it now on my legs ; it is cold; ha

Deb, you are right.  I did contact the seller and she sold me the pattern.  you are correct in the stitches.
