What's your most prized crocheted possession?

Recommended Posts

Well, first off when I was younger, my mother brought out this beautiful crocheted tablecloth and said that my great-aunt Frances crocheted this for my older sister, but Jennifer died in 1972 when she was only 2 years old so Frances told my mother to hand down the tablecloth to me. My aunt made this tablecloth back in the early 1950's and promised mom that she will give it to her when she got older. Well, mom ended up having the ripple afghan that Frances crocheted in the early 1940's and it is still in excellent shape. We also have a few of her doilies that she made from no pattern in particular and I have not been able to copy the designs, simple as they seem. Also, my first crochet hook, size G. This came from Frances when I was a teenager expressing a small amount of interest in crochet but like a fool I ditched the idea until I grew up and now you can always find me with a project, thanks to my crochetville tote bag!:devil
