Yarn Stash Reorganizing

Its not that hot here today, maybe 80-82 degrees, but the humidity has to be at least 90%!!! And, I pick today to reorganize my yarn stash. I keep it on my closed in utility porch, which is very handy and out of the way, but also is the hottest spot in the house. I could have opened the door or window, but there is no air moving and that's not going to help with the humidity any way so I just turned on a fan. I went thru 12 62-quart plastic totes and 3 under the bed storage containers. Everything is organized by yarn type and color. Maybe I won't go out and buy what I already have now. I was so hot that I learned what sweating bullets really means, but still it was nice to pet everything again.

Maybe you should have picked the evening, might have cooled down some!

Sounds like you have a stash like mine, only mine is not that organized.

BUT it is in totes on shelves my hubby built!

yours sounds way better organized!

It sure is fun to go through it though isn't it!

Yikes, after that workout you need to find a nice cool spot and sit down with a cool drink and your crochet. You wouldn't want to overheat, it's dangerous.

That's exactly what I did, minus the crochet. I have just a few rows to go to finish an afghan, but just couldn't bear the thought of having it lying on me yet!
