Hi everyone...could someone explain to me how i crochet from a chart? Im trying to crochet a blanket or afghan using a chart and well i dont even know where to begin...some hints and tips would be greatly apprecciated.

I prefer to use the afghan or tunisian stitch when I work with charts but other people like other stitches. You might also look up afghan stitch or tunisian stitch.

oh your just the best! Thanks so much for your help with all this! Although i think this is going to be a challenge...i already feel like giving up and i havent even started!

You'll do fine. It might be a good idea to make a little practice piece to learn the stitch and avoid some frustration. A lot of cross stitch and knit charts can be used for this type of crochet and also filet crochet. There are lots of people here to help you.
