Have you ever noticed...

Recommended Posts

Have you ever noticed how when you are trying a new pattern out for the very first time and your work (such as the scarf I am working right now) is bigger on the bottom than as you are working the rest of the way through it? Yea, I think it is cuz I get more comfortable with the pattern as I go. Darned if I am gonna go back....lol!:hook

Another method besides switching hooks is to try doing a foundation stitch instead of a chain...

Go to the How to videos on the Crochetville toolbar, type chainless foundation in the search area and there will be a video showing you how to do it...

I think that the biggest reason is that as you go your tension gets tighter. When you're just figuring out the pattern you pay more attention to what you're doing.

I've done it and gotten too far into it to frog too.
