CrochetRT Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 I ran across a site that explained the difference between fulling and felting, although I don't remember what site it was. Anyway, as they explained it, the difference is: Felting is done using "unassembled" yarn, etc. Layer the strands, wet it, squish it,(all the usual steps) and you get, well, felt (fabric) to cut and sew together or whatever Fulling is done with an assembled(crocheted/knitted) item, to make the stitches "fuller" thus resulting in the finished "felt" material Hope that helps!
