"Martha" Poncho adding rounds??

I want to make the Martha Poncho with a smaller hook and think I will need more rounds. Do I need to add a specific number to make the edging work out correctly? Thanks,

Hi Colleen. Since my english is not so good, I will try to make myself understand. I made Martha´s poncho too and I did not find the wool the pattern asked, so I did it with other one with a smaller hook. I added the necessary rows to have the necessary length and very important, to have the exactly quantity of stitches for the ending. You need a little bit of mathematics for this.
