Back Scratcher (with pattern)

Wasn't sure which category this should go under, so why not stick it in accessories?

 

Funny the things we can come up with out of necessity, ain't it? I needed a back scratcher, because it never fails, the itch is just out of reach. I ended up making two, because my hubby wanted one, too. This is definitely going on my things to make for Christmas list.

 

I used a size "N" hook and triple strands on the yarn, which were just scraps. It's super easy to make and works up rather quickly.

 

I chained 50 (mark stitch 50 with a stitch marker or safety pin) then chained 50 more. I single crocheted back down the second set of 50, chained two and pulled them under the first set of 50, then single crocheted back up the second set of 50. At the end, I put another single crochet (this gives both ends of the scratcher part a rounded look) then chained 50 more. Tie off and there you go. It's all one piece, too, which is quite nice.
