Tunisian Scarf with matching hat

I made this set for my aunt as a gift. The hat is not done in tunisian stitch. I used the basic increase for the crown and then took inspiration from another pattern to make the rest of the hat. It is done by Ch. 1, *sc in next st, dc in next st, repeat around. Next round, sc in each dc and dc in each sc. Kinda have to figure it out as you go (that's what I did). When the hat is the desired length, the last round is 2 dc in each st around.

 

The scarf is done in the tunisian arrowhead stitch. Thanks for looking.
