Colour blending Ghan

Recommended Posts

ok so i got excited over the 2 strand flannlghans and somewehre read about a suggestion as to mixing more than two colours.

so out came the pencils and paper, working with red, yellow and blue and the colours you get from mixing these, orange green and purple. i went off and planned the following sequence, red yellow blue red yellow blue.....etc. then coloured in the chart as per my column and row headers.

this is what i came up with, i figure you could either

1. use the 2 strands as in the flannelghan, eg red and yellow where the squares are marked in orange - uses 3 colours of yarn

2. or you could get the 6 colours of yarnand crochet as coloured.

so far ive got another pattern based on this which jsut has the red yellow and blue in a different sequence... pic 2

what do you think? i think im mad :)

edit :i think they are in reverse order than as my post suggests, soz

I've only ever made a blended RR (turned out so pretty), but I'd love to see either of your blended multi-color plaid plans played out in yarn, Julie, should you decide to take the plunge! :yes
