Round Ripple Question....

I saw the beautiful results some of you have had with this....I however find myself kinda lost. The pattern says to repeat rnd 5 for rnd 6. I find this impossible due to the fact I have too many dc's. I actually am working rnd 7 instead. What am I doing wrong?????

you should be following the pattern rows, not the specific number of stitches. You will increase the number of dc's in each row...otherwise the blanket would never get any bigger.

 

So if row 7 has 7 ds's between the points, then row 8 will have 8 or 9 dc's in between, and row 9 will have 9 or 10 dc's between points.

 

Does that make sence to you?

I used the original pattern from the AngelCrafts web site and I didn't have any problems. Apparently the woven-stars pattern has some changes but I don't understand why. I found the original pattern here.

I am printing this one out. I want to compare, it seems as if you are right and this one will actually work according to the pattern. I am not crazy about patterns I have to adjust. I like "mindless" crochet while sitting to watch the news, etc.
