venting on a pattern

Supposed to be making this afghan for my grandson....with camo, of course.

This pattern is very hard to follow. Each row is different.

And if I get off ONE stitch it makes the subsequent rows off.

I am sooooo frustrated.

I ripped out several rows and haven't started back on it yet.

I don't know if I will.

Grrr!

 

Anyone else get frustrated like this???

You bet! I have been known to throw the pattern in the trash and fish it back out several times before I give up and get a different pattern. Nine times out of ten the pattern has been written wrong.

 

I've also learned that you can't let a mistake slide because it will come back to haunt you several rows later!

What pattern are you making? Perhaps there may be posted corrections to it. If you really like the design, I would try to find out, before I gave up on it.

You really don't need such a complicated pattern with camo. The beauty is in the color play and any stitches are going to get lost in the colors.
