SC 2 stitches together

Can someone tell me how to do this? The pattern reads:

sc2tog help!

I believe sc2tog is a decrease. Insert your hook in first stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop; insert your hook in the second stitch, yarn over and draw up a loop; yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on your hook.
