has anyone ever worked on an afghan from leisure arts #2770

called Scripture Afghan. This is my first in crocheting in about 20 years and I am having trouble with. The square is #2 called Crosses. I hope somebody can help this is my first post on the board:huh

Becky, I haven't done this afghan yet but I have the booklet. I'm gonna bet you're having trouble with those tr that are worked in the skipped stitches. Let me know specifically and I'll try to help. :thinking1

yes I am and it is driving me crazzy. I have had to take it out ? times and I don't think it looks right after I do row 4 and then I try row 5 it. Front side looks different from the back side. I am also trying to do the flame and I cant get past row 2

Becky, are you still having trouble with the crosses square? Is your difficulty in working in front of and behind the stitches? Don't forget to watch carefully when it says to work in front of them and when it says to work behind them. After you've finished through row 5, the front and back should look the opposite of each other.

 

What specifically is giving you trouble in row 3 of the flame square?
