I Remember Mama crocheted pieces

I watched this old movie the other night and aside from the fact that it's a wonderful movie, there are some interesting crocheted and knitted pieces worn by the actors.

 

In the scene where Dagmar is being carried out to go to the hospital, she's wrapped in a granny square afghan. In other scenes, the other daughters are wearing knitted hats and my favorite is a double crocheted shawl worn by Mama. That's not a very good description - the shawl or maybe it would be called a wrap has two layers, one over the other.

 

Looks like it will be on again on May 10 if anyone would like to watch it.

BTW, watch for the young doctor - it's Rudy Vallee. I didn't recognize him with the beard.
