Newbie not sure where to ask for help

I am trying to make a rectangle in amigurumi form. I have no problem making a square, circle, or even octagon. But today figuring out how to make two sides shorter and the other two longer, is beyond me. Such is my disablity, fibro fog. thank you for your help!

here go to http://www.lionbrand.com and type amis and when you do go onto page 4 of that and there is a pattern for a rectangle amiguriumi
