Question
EminsMom
Hi everyone,
I am trying to follow a pattern from Mosaic Magic Afghans Made Easy, by Lily M. Chin. I am working on the pattern Blue Waves on pg. 103 and 104.
I am stuck on the line that reads
"Ch1, turn; sc in first 2 sc, Ldc in 3rd sc from beg 3 rows below * sk next sc on working row, sc in next sc **, Ldc in 3rd sc from prev Ldc 3 rows below [slant-st made] sk next sc on working row, sc in next sc, Ldc in 2nd sc from prev Ldc 3 rows below, sk next sc on working row, sc in next sc, Ldc in same sc as prev Ldc 3 rows below [b-st made], sk next sc on working row, sc in next sc, Ldc in 2nd sc from prev Ldc 3 rows below [slant=st made], sk next sc on working row, sc in next sc, Ldc in 3rd sc from prev Ldc 3 rows below; rep from * across, ending last rep at **; sc in last sc: 10 Ldc, 18 slant-sts and 9 V-sts."
It seems like it should be straight forward, but it just doesn't seem to be working for me.
Also, this is my first venture from Red Heart. I am using Lion Brand Homespun. How do I keep the ends from fraying? I think this yarn may be too fancy for me, but since I spent $80 on yarn, I don't want to give up. Also, when do I take my needle and weave in the ends.
Sorry, this is only my 4th major project I have tried. Please help if you can.
Thank you.
