Flannel-ghan!

First, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Second, I'd like to thank everyone for all the tips and advice you gave. I found a pattern for a little black dress. It is in a pattern book by Mary Somebody who has a method of increasing and decreasing by making taller and shorter stitches. I asked for and got the book for Christmas. I ended up not making the Lifesaver persons. I had started to late. If i've left anyone out, I apologize. I am losing my mind these days and I didn't have a whole lot of mind to start with.

 

Third, I have a question about the Flannel-ghan pattern which I understand comes from this forum. It suggests crocheting around each strip in sc to make it easier to sew together. When I do that, do I use one strand or two?

You would use 2. Actually the suggestion of crocheting around each strip was for doing the flannelghan in 3 colors. One of the ghans was done like that and it broke up the flow of the pattern.

Thanks for the information. It helped me decide not to put sc around each strip. I'll just sew them together. If there's holes, there's holes. What's an afghan without holes?
