I know some of you have worked on this pattern from the crochet magazine, and if you have the time, I could really use some help.

 

I'm stuck on:

 

1-side joined motif

 

I got past rnd 1, but am stuck midway on rnd 6. It says:

 

(sc, ch 3, sl st in corresponding corner of last motif, ch 3, sc) in next ch sp for corner, [ch 2, sl st in corresponding ch sp on last motif, ch 2, sc in next ch sp] across to next corner, (sc, ch 3, sl st in corresponding corner on last motif, ch 3, sc) in next ch sp for corner, [ch 5, sc in next ch sp] 4 times, ch 5, join with sl st in beg sc. Fasten off.

 

 

corresponding corner???? am I suppose to put the first motif and this 2nd one together and do stitches in both as I go?

 

What I tried to do was continue from this 2nd motif into the first motif. I sc, ch 3, sl st into the corner of the first motif and tried to continue from there on that first motif. Thought the instructions meant to go from 2nd one to first and continue on there, but it doesn't look right..

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm stuck, but can't bring myself to give up.

I've never made the pattern you are referring to, but I've done many join as you go patterns. After you make the slip stitch in the first you will go back to working on the second motif. Hope this helps.
