Big man's Washcloth

No, this isn't a big square, it's a long cloth with handles at each end. My father-in-law loves it for washing his back. It is double thick like the scowering pad that is available online, but this is totally my own pattern. Feel free to use it, but PLEASE don't take credit for my work. Of course, there is no picture because I'm blind. Try it, your "big man" will love it!

 

BIG MAN'S WASHCLOTH

 

Size: About 30 inches long and 8 inches wide.

 

Materials: Worsted weight cotton yarn; H crochet hook; tapestry needle.

 

Ch29.

 

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across: 28; ch1 and turn every row.

 

Row 2: Working in back lps of Row 1 and rem lps of beg ch, sc in each st across: 28.

 

Row 3: Working in back lps of current row and rem front lps of previous row, sc in each st across.

 

Rep Row 3 until piece measures 30 inches or desired length.

 

Last Row: Sc in both lps of current row and front lps of previous row.

 

First handle: Ch45 or desired length; join with sl st in opposite side of row; ch1, sl st in each ch across, sl st in same sc as beg ch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

 

For second handle, join with sl st at opposite end of cloth. Rep as for first handle.
