You might be able to adapt the pattern for these shoe strings

You could make them as long as you want, and then sew the ends together and add a clip on the end .

there are also a few tutorials for a round cord (I cord) at CPC, that makes a round tube that can be made in different sizes by useing different yarn and different size hooks
