Cute top support group required

Hi.

 

I found this lovely pattern book in a local yarn shop a few weeks back; decided I liked the look of two of the tops in it (Freesia and Posy if you click on the link) and in particular, liked the idea of them for my holiday in Brazil (hopefully) in two months' time.

 

There was some grief with the yarn but I finally got it last week for both projects.

 

I started the Freesia one today. It involves me making 74 squares like this, except better (this was the tension test - photo is mine, crochet work is also mine):

I'm down one and a half so far. A bit like friends going walking at lunch time, I need some way of keeping myself at it before I get stuck at around 60. The squares are easy enough, it's just 74 of them is a touch daunting.

 

The yarn is what is called 4 ply cotton here in Ireland. I have been told this may be something like fingerweight by US weighting terminology. It's quite fine anyway.

 

Anyone else working on a similar project by any chance?
