I just love this idea and I am going to try it.

In rnd 1 are you doing 6 to 8 punctures followed by another 6 to 8 punctures after you have worked the sc into the first 6 to 8 punctures?

Is the purpose of this to keep the work even?

Partly yes... to keep me moving evenly... but mostly to keep from losing the holes. It seemed that if I got too ahead of myself the holes would close up a bit... making it a little work to find them. Have fun with it.. think of all the color combinations you could come up with... or a way to use up scrap yarn and an old tank top.

I have to say.... its GREAT for this big blanket I'm working on. Fits great... squishes up in a tight spot... and is easy to throw on my shoulder to carry.
