Watermelon Clutch

here's the link to my watermelon clutch. it's not done yet as i'm having issues on how to finish it. someone suggested i should make it into a sunglasses case. i don't know. i need to find some way to close the top up without using a sewing machine as i don't have one. perhaps i'll just stuff it and close up the top and give it to the baby. she loves watermelon anyway.

Can you hand sew a zip in it? You could put a wooden half moon handle thingie just on the top bit......not sure about the handle.

Looks great. I'd sew some black beads on for seed and add a black or red strap in the middle for closing with a hidden button or snap closure.

I'd agree with the idea of wooden handles - bamboo would fit beautifully.

if you dont like it as a clutch i reckon the idea about making a slice and giving to baby is a great idea
