Errata/Corrections for Sensual Crochet Book? Help!

Hi. Does anyone know of the existence of any errata/corrections for Amy Swenson's Sensual Crochet? I am itching to make all of the patterns in the book, but have run into a stumbling block.

 

I have tried checking my gauge for the 'Retro Femme' top 9 times now and cannot make it work. I am using the proper weight yarn, and have tried adjusting hook size 3 times, as well as adjusting my tension. I can't make the swatch the required 4 in. tall in 6 rows no matter what I do! (the width- 16 stitches- is fine) Can anyone help me? I am dying to make this!
