How do you hold your crochet hook?

I'm not even sure how to describe how I hold my hook other than I hold it like I would hold one of the chop sticks I use when eating Chinese food.

 

I taught myself to crochet over 30 years ago, and when I look at how to books, I don't hold my hook the same as the book shows.

 

So how do you hold your hook?
