Question
centerpt1
I want to make "Carioca" from the Aug 1998 issue of Magic Crochet. Problem is I'm a plus size and it's not With most patterns, I can alter the size by just going up a hook size or so, or adding where I need it. This is different-mainly because I'm not used to resizing motifs.
It's a motif based jacket, by going up in yarn guage (to TLC cotton Plus) and up to a G crochet hook, I've managed to add 1/2" to the motif size- (from 3 1/2" to 4" diameter. (getting me about 5 more inches of size in the body) That is still not going to be enough...thankfully they have a chart with the measurements of the back and front.
Question....should I try going up hook sizes? or would it be better to add motifs? Where would I add the motifs?
