tips for baby pants

Recommended Posts

I am making some baby clothes whilst i still have 6 months to go and am getting confused with with the sizes of patterns, They seem to vary a lot. Anyho my main query is do standard patterns fit over reusable nappies or should i make them a size up. I am not making the smallest sizes anyway as they seem very small_ would fit a 5lb baby. Any advice from experienced crochet mums would be much appricaiated.

I still use cloth diaper for my daughter and make all her wool soaker/shorties/longies/skirties etc

She was 5 lbs at birth so from birth til maybe 3 months she wore small .

Around 15 lbs she went into meds (waist 16 ins, rise 16, inseam 7 ish--trying to remember:lol )then she went straight to large and has stayed in larges for her waist and rise but her inseam has changed of course LOL.

I would make her longies a little longer and roll them. She grew so fast that within 2 months I could have them straight without rolled.

this should be her last season in wool -she is 2 so all her wool longies I am making this winter are made to fit for a season LOL

I hope that helps some

lmk if I can help you :) :)
