double ended hook...size?

I have a double ended crochet hook but it doesn't have the size on it anywhere. Is there away I can find out the size? I had this brilliant idea that if I poked it through one of those holes ( normally used for knitting) I could find out the size but when I tried it with a crochet hook that had the size on it, it was way off. Any ideas?

This might sound obvious, but I would just try holding it side-by-side against normal crochet hooks until you found the one that looked the closest. You might try making gauge swatches with a normal hook and the double-ended one, too, then comparing them. Good luck!

you're right,lol that does sound like the smartest thing to do. I am sorry,it has been a long day and my brain took the rest of the day off.Thanks I will try that.
