Question

i have the pattern from the book ( babies head to toe)

 

i did not understand the meaning of ( working in the free lops of beginning ch)

 

and

 

(place marker for for heel center)

 

and

 

(YO, draw loop through next DC)

I think that when it says to work in the free loops of the beginning chain that you are working in rounds and you are to go to the other side of the chain. So...if you chain six, turn do six sc and then you would go to the other side of the chain where there are little bumps and work into those.

(It is confusing, It took me a long time to understand it)

 

I dont' know about the heel center marker

 

But the YO means Yarn over, what it is basically telling you is to do a double crochet in the next stitch

 

NOW, there are many more people on here who know much more than me. So, if my info is incorrect, pls someone correct me.

Matyson5 is correct. Working in free loops of chain means to go to the other side of the original chain and work in the free loops.

 

Place a marker for the heel is telling you to put a marker in the stitch you just made to mark where the heel goes.

 

YO, draw through loop in next dc - means to do just that. Yarn over like you would to do a dc in the next dc and then do what it tells you next.
