Question

Okay the first row is ch 4 and dc in 4th ch from hook and chain 3 and turn

Row 2 Dc into 1st dc, ch2, 2 dc into top of turning ch-3. Ch-3 turn.

I am confused as to how to dc into 1st dc. When I do row 1 there is a space made from it. Do I dc into the space. There is a side note that says each dc and ch 3 counts as 1 st.

Second question 2 dc crochet into top of turning ch-3 means in the last chain of turning chain(right)

Help!!!!!

Thanks,

You dc into the first dc by inserting your hook under both loops of the top of the dc. Don't go into the space between the dcs. Check out the video here at StitchGuide: http://stitchguide.com/stitches/crochet/stitch_pages/cro_double_crochet.html

Yes, it means 2 dc into the third ch of the ch-3.
