Aargh, must use organic cotton?

If you search for Percentage of Pesticides used on Cotton in google, there are multiple sites that have the same figure of 25% as for the amount of the the world's pesticide supply that is used on cotton. One site showed that 10% of the worlds pesticides are used and 22.5 of insecticides are used....I'm assuming the 25% though. Like it was said earlier, we use cotton for EVERYTHING.....clothes, towels, yarn, and so many other things. Think of the number of shirts, jeans, socks, underwear and everything else that are in your closet and then consider how many everyone else in this country has, and I think that adds up to a lot of cotton!!!! Regardless of how MUCH is used, pesticides and insecticides are BAD!!!!!

Exactly, I got to thinking and I came up with some others....like bandages and all sorts of medical supplies. When you think of it cotton is everywhere!
