Bernat Soft Boucle suggestions

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a fairly easy afghan pattern to make with Bernat Soft Boucle. I have 6 skeins of it, I bought it to use with one of the patterns in one of their books and I am having a horrible time getting working pattern. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and I wasn't liking the way that it was looking, so I figured that maybe I'd just try a new pattern.

 

Any advice?? TIA!

The best thing I've done with boucle is making granny squares or a giant granny. You can't really see textures with it, so a flat type of pattern is what you should look for...or if your boucle is in different colors, why not do a waterfall afghan? (see Crochet Pattern Central for a link)
