Seija Hat for Big Kids

Hey all

 

I recently made the hat from the "Seija Set" featured in SnB Crochet by Debbie Stoller. The hat's for babies, and I needed it for toddlers so I sized it up using bulky weight yarn and a J-hook.

 

After finishing, I loved the hats so much that I just had to make one for me!

to size it up to adult size, i used bulky weight yarn (Moda Dea's Tweedle Dee in "Blue Heather") and an M-hook. the weight of the yarn and the size of the hook gives it this really cool chunky appearance and the yarn has this cool shaded color effect and is extremely soft. and it's just big enough that it doesn't pull my curls straight.
