Lion Brand Velvetspun question

The label says it is machine washable, but do not machine dry. Has anyone used this yarn, washed AND put it in the dryer? It is sooo soft and I have a cute pattern for a baby snuggly, but can't imagine making a baby item that cannot be machine washed and dried. Thanks!

Do a test swatch and throw it in the machine, then the dryer.
