wip, what a change!

Hello, I've been working on a crochet floral necklace, and decided to take a break. I'm crocheting it in black size 10 crochet thread, and using size 5 metal hook i believe. So then I decided to use this pattern to make a capelet:

It's with a Q hook! talk about going from one extreme to the next! My son thinks the Q hook is funny!

 

But, I ended up changing the pattern a bit. It turns out, even crocheting loosely, with the q hook that 49 chains isn't long enough for the poncho to go around....so i added more chains, and I"m using red heart light and lofty, antique blue or something like that. It's nice. I"m also using double crochet, instead of single.......single crochet was killing me!
