help with pattern

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.  This is a red  heart pattern LW5522 a baby onesie.  I am no expert but no beginner either.  The problem is when I get to row 7 and it wants me to repeat row 3 - the first time I crochet row 3 I am v stitching in a buttonhole from row 2.  However I am not repeating row 2 so when I repeat row 3 what do I do with that step?  I hope I am explaining this correctly

It looks like they want you to just v-stitch across.  Rows 3 & 4 together create an increase and 5 & 6 are non-increase rows.  Other than that it's wants you to v-stitch across.
