Righty teaching a lefty crochet

kmsmcd2003

Question

I am working with a service group at the local middle school.  We've taught about 30 kids to crochet over the school year, but I'm having a problem.  We've got 3 kids that are lefties and I'm having trouble teaching them the stitches.  What would be the best way to teach them?  Thanks in advance for any advice!

I tried that last year.  Fortunately, the person I was teaching was ambidextrous.  After failing to teach her left-handed crochet, she learned right-handed then used videos and books to translate to left-handed.  At the time I was kicking myself for not investing in a book that is geared towards left-handed crochet.  It is different.

I hope this resource helps ....
