You're alternating even rows are tr stitches and odd rows are dc stitches.  Your last row before the arm hole shaping is even (tr stitches).  So, your arm hole shaping row is odd (dc stitches.)

Did you miss that you're alternating or that the arm shaping row is odd?

By the way, you'll have to remove that pic.  It's a copyright violation.  If you don't, Amy will remove it.

Post: your own pics, your own words, your own patterns, links to pics/patterns a couple of lines of a pattern where you're having an issue.

Maybe this would help...

Row 2 even: tr

Row 3 odd: dc

tr

dc

tr

dc

tr

arm shaping: dc with chains

tr

Instructions: dc

tr

dc

After the arm shaping dc with chains row, you repeat row 2, which is tr stitches.  Then the next row are the special dc instructions.  So, all of your tr rows are a repeat of row 2.  Only the dc rows have 2 special instructions, one for the arm shaping and one for the next odd row.  In between the 2 special instructions is an even tr row.
