Question
Cthompson9470
Hello all, I was wondering if anyone out there might be able to help me with a pea coat pattern I downloaded for free from ravelry. I have the sweater completed minus the collar (where I am running into my issues,) and I have repeated the pattern 3 times with the same results. I am sure I am missing something but I just cant figure out where.....hmm

My first question is if something says [single crochet increase in next stitch] 6 times, does that mean 6 times more, or a total of 7 times more.
Next question is in reference to: [chain 1, sk 1 st, sc in next ch sp.] 6 times. Ch 1, sk 1 stitch, sc increase in next st. Does this mean at the end of the 6 consecutive sets of stitches I should have ended on a chain 1 and then I chain 1 again as per the next step?? My collar, after chaining 57 is no where near the length of the actual collar around the top of the sweater. Prob a good 2 inches too short. My collar is straight with a little wave where I have increased 2 stitches 2wice in one row, but NO where near what the pic looks like. I really need some help on this one! So frustrating to get this far and then get stuck on the collar!
Thanks so much for all who can help
