Pattern help please!☺️

I am Working on a pattern and i am now at this point:

 

Sc, inc, [sc2, inc] 3x, sc(16)

 

What does the [ ] mean? And does it want me to sc1, inc, sc2, inc and do that 3 times and then 1 sc at the end?

what are you making?   are you going from 12 to 16?

 

 sc then inc then do what's in [] 3 x then sc , -----    sc, inc, sc, sc inc, sc, sc inc, sc, sc, inc, sc

Cute I thought maybe it was a toy.  I like the pattern and it is what I put in my post.

 

 

edited No problem or anything just a note Just noticed you have put in a typo  [sc,inc] 6x (12)  and   it should be   [sc,inc] 4x (12)
