Crochet Chart pattern help

Hello, I am still learning crochet basics. I have made a blanket, cell phone cases, and purses, etc for family. Currently I am trying to decipher this crochet diagram for a unicorn applique. I have read around the internet on the symbol meanings.But, I am still lost on where to start and such. if you click on the underllined maroon characters, it links to the Pierrot yarns site which has short videos that explain the symbols used.  

 

You start in the center of the head, with a magic loop or sliding loop (see video on Pierrot site) and you end at the black triangle above the top of the tail.
