crocheting baby booties and shoes

I would like to crochet baby shoes and sandals for the summer months and try to make a little extra cash. Now, my problem is that I don't have any babies around me for sizing. I know pattern give you measurements but for me,  I work better having someone to try things on as I make them. Any suggestions ? Thank you

1-2 lbs   Foot Length 1" - 1 3/4"  

2-3 lbs  Foot Length 2" - 2 1/2"  

3-5 lbs   Foot Length 2 1/2" - 3"  

5-7 lbs Foot Length 3" - 3 1/2"  

7-9 lbs  Foot Length 3 1/4" - 3 3/4"  (most newborns)
