Reading a pattern. . . . Help please

Alessandra Jean

Question

“Rnd 8: Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, (sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st) 5 times, sc in next 3 sts

The question is for this ground since I see this a lot in my pattern. Do I do the whole pattern including the ones in ( )s 5 times then at the last round do, sc in next 3 sts

Or does this mean do the firs line with the sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st do that once then do the ( )s for the 5 rounds?

Quick read on using patterns http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/tip_crochet.html

A good reference book is a worthwhile investment, such as Complete Photo Guide to Crochet by M Hubert, or Crochet Answer Book by E Eckman.

Also, this section is only for round 8, not for any other rounds.
