Afghans for Katrina Victims

Hi All!

 

I have been swamped lately with teaching classes at my local Michael's and my kids starting school. I am going to try to post more often again!

 

But I wanted to drop in and let you all know that my Michael's store in Lynnwood WA is collecting squares for afghans for the Katrina Victims. We are colecting both knit and crochet squares (7 inch by 9 inch) through October 31. You can use the patterns fromcrochet

 

If you are near Lynnwood and would like to help assemble, we will be doing this from 9-12 noon and again from 6:30 to 9 PM on November 2nd. I have a personal goal to assemble 2 complete afghans that day (49 squares each) But we are hoping to collect around 500 squares.

 

If you would like to send squares, let me know and I will give you an address to send them to! I would be glad to take them!
