Another Crochet vs Knit

I have the utmost respect for anyone who knits. But, I have a problem with magazines that say an item is knitted when it isn't. I bought a craft magazine yesterday and on the cover it shows 3 stockings. The title says, "Knit These 3 Stockings". When I looked at it, only one is knitted, the other 2 are crochet. The title should have been "3 Great Stockings to Make" or something like that. Yes, I could have said "Crochet" all 3 but that's the same as the whole knitting thing. Just chaps my tooshy sometimes.

I agree with you. There are many places where the word knit or knitting

cover all types needle and yarn work. They don't have the word crochet,

or hooky or other terms commonly used here. This would be true if the

publication is international or sold outside of the US.
