Vertical Striped Hat & Scarf (Girl)

I took my daughter yarn shopping this week and let her pick out yarn for a new hat and scarf since her old ones were a bit small. I made the mistake of saying, "You can pick out any yarn you want!"

 

So - we have a sparkly pink, blue, and purple hat. I don't think the pictures show how bright and sparkly the hat is. This is the "Caron Simply Soft" sparkly yarn (medium weight.)

 

I was proud of myself that I used a pattern I found and modified it slightly to fit my needs. I'm really bad about following a pattern exactly as it is written instead of trying to modify when I need to, so this is a big step for me.

That is so cute and I love the colors! I haven't seen the Simply Soft sparkly yarn yet, it looks nice. I love sparkly stuff.
