want to learn how to spin..starting from scratch

I want to learn how to spin yarn but I don't know how or where to start. I live in the city so how can I accomplish this new hobby?

 

What do I need as far as materials for a beginner?

What are some good online sites with video where I can learn how to do it?

Where can I buy such material?

Is it an expensive hobby?

The least expensive way to learn is with a hand spindle. Check out youtube for Abby Franquemont's videos. She has a new book out, "Respect the Spindle".
